Growing up in a musical family, Chris picked up the guitar at the age of 13 and quickly fell in love with the instrument. It wasn’t long before Chris took his guitar out of the bedroom, forming bands and performing at local events.
Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Dire Straits and Eric Clapton were regularly heard on his parents’ car stereo and influenced Chris’s style, allowing him to become well versed in Blues, Rock, Pop, Americana, Country and Soul/R&B.
A degree in Music Technology taught Chris there was more to making music than playing the guitar, and he developed a keen interest in recording and production – skills that have served him well throughout his career.
Being able to dial in creative guitar tones sympathetic to the music makes Chris an asset in the studio. As such, he is credited on works by Keith Hopwood (Herman’s Hermits), singer-songwriter Jon Coley and award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Ashley Fayth.
In addition to studio work, Chris has toured extensively on stages across Belgium, France, Germany and the UK, including playing for Gary Edward Jones at his album launch at St George’s Hall in Liverpool.
Chris’s ability to perform to a high standard in numerous environments, ranging from live stages and recording studios to TV and radio stations, gives him the versatility required for a wide variety of projects.
Chris can also be found on YouTube, where he covers gear reviews, guitar lessons and tutorials.
